In Synthesis, students develop the world's most valuable skill: solving problems with a team.
Watch to see how it works.
Challenge your child with real-world simulations, like curating art and colonizing space.
We help kids cultivate skills in collaboration and critical thinking so they're equipped to contribute to the good and advance society for the better.
Kids learn how to navigate challenges when there are no clear answers.
Our real-world simulations are designed to ignite curiosity and spark new insights.
Connect with like-minded peers hungry to dive into engaging problems.
In 2014, Elon Musk asked me to start an experimental school with him at SpaceX.
The goal was to develop students who are enthralled by complexity and solving for the unknown.
Synthesis is the most innovative learning experience from that school. It is designed to cultivate student voice, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem solving.
I believe Synthesis builds these skills like no other education experience.
Until recently, Synthesis was only available to a handful of SpaceX families. Today, our community is worldwide and growing quickly. Excited for you to be a part of it.

Apply today to secure your child’s place on the Synthesis reservation list. New cohorts open on a monthly basis for kids ages 8 to 14.
Your child will join a group of 15-18 students for a weekly, one-hour simulation session. Our teachers are real-world professionals: engineers, neurobiologists, and writers.
In the first three months, your child will cultivate skills that will stay with them for a lifetime. Critical thinking. Confidence. Empathy. And this is only the beginning.
Enrollment is open to kids ages 8 to 14. If you'd like to secure a spot for your child on the reservation list prior to their 8th birthday, we'll let you know when it's their turn.
The world's most valuable skill: how to solve complex problems with a team.
As long as you want. The skills your child builds in Synthesis continually strengthen as they progress through the program and reach higher and higher levels of achievement. To build the best foundation, we recommend staying in Synthesis for at least three months.
Our teachers are also engineers, astrophysicists, and artists—and because we aim to deliver an outstanding learning experience, we put a lot of effort into bringing in only the most qualified people. We currently accept 4-6% of teaching applicants.
Yes! Try your first month of Synthesis risk-free. If you decide it’s not the right fit for your child, you’re eligible for a full refund of the first month's tuition up to the beginning of the third session, no questions asked. (The reservation fee is not refundable.)
