4mm Instrumentation Tape Reader

The DirectDAT(tm) 4mm Instrumentation Tape Reader allows data from Teac RD-series and Sony Precision Technology PC-series instrumentation tape recorders to be transported directly onto workstation platforms. Single channels and memo data can be audibly monitored or scope displayed, and from 1 to 16 channels of calibrated data can be measured and recorded into up to 4 AIFC, I-DEAS ATI, or other format data files simultaneously.

Available now for the SGI platform. Available for Sun Solaris in 2Q2000. Requires a Sony SDT-9000 audio-capable DDS-3 tape drive (firmware version 12.3 or higher).

DirectDAT is available, with optional support contracts, from MTS or directly from Synthesis.
